Magnus Carlsen finished first at the Medias Kings tournament in Romania (June 11-22) over Sergey Kajarkin on tiebreak. Both winners defeated Vassily Ivanchuk in back to back games.

Ivanchuk came back against our own GM Hikaru Nakamura in the final round, leaving Nakamura in joint third with Teimour Radjabov.
