The second annual Copper State International (Mesa, Arizona, June 3-9) was a norm bonanza. Tournament director Jon Haskel told CLO that norm-earners included Mackenzie Molner, who earned his second GM norm and his final IM norm; Robby Adamson earned his third IM norm; Conrad Holt, Keaton Kiewra and Siddharth Ravichandran also earned IM norms.

Molner also tied for first in the A-group with GM Timur Gareyev, but Gareyev won the Armageddon playoff. In the B Group Fridman, Kacheishvili and Kekelidze tied for first, with Fridman taking the Armageddon playoff.

Complete standings will be available shortly on American chess.net. Also play through games on Monroi.com and keep your eyes on CLO for a full wrap-up.
