GM Magnus Carlsen won the Tal Memorial in Moscow on tiebreak over GM Levon Aronian. Carlsen scored a final round victory over our own GM Hikaru Nakamura.

Nakamura had a tough tournament, scoring 3/9. See final crosstables on the official site or TWIC. Nakamura fans can follow his next international forays at the London Chess Classic (December 3-12) and the defense of his title at the Tata Steel Chess "A" group in Wijk Aan Zee (January 13-29), where US Champion Gata Kamsky will also participate.

New York City Chess Inc recently announced a partnership with GM Magnus Carlsen. Find out more on the flyer and expect more news on Carlsen's August trip to the US on CLO and Chess Life Magazine.
