Varslide.jpgGM Varuzhan Akobian surged ahead at the National Open in Las Vegas. On Saturday night, Var won on the Black side of a Tarrasch defense against GM Mikheil Kekelidze. Akobian is now the only perfect 4-0. 

  


GM Pavel Tregubov, half a point behind, defeated GM Aleksandr Lenderman.
