The US delegation arrived in Maribor, Slovenia for the World Youth Championship. 89 players are waving the US flag including last year's Under 8 gold medalist Awonder Liang, now playing in the Under 10. Coaches include GMs Finegold, De Firmian & Ramirez as well as head of delegation Michael Khodarkovsky.
Auburn, California hosted 82 players in the 1st Auburn Power Open on November 2-4. GM Enrico Sevillano finished with 4.0 in the five-round event, giving him a clear first place.
