On Thursday, May 21, Greg Chamitoff and the Stevenson club members will be
at Seattle's Museum of Flight for a public celebration of the match.For Greg, who served for six months as flight engineer and science officer on the International Space Station, this will be one of the highlights of his personal appearance tour for NASA. In addition to giving a presentation about his time in space at 7 PM, he is looking forward to showing Stevenson's young stars around inside a full-size replica of one of the ISS labs, the Destiny Module, where they and other area chess students will be able to get a feel for what life is like on the Space Station. The entire local chess community has been invited, and special museum admission rates of $10 for adults and $5 for kids are in effect from 3 PM onwards - just mention the Earth vs. Space Match at the door. If you are in the area, don't miss it!

By a one-vote margin, Earth's voters chose 25...Rfc8 over the weekend, as the Earth team sets about determing how to untangle and organize the black pieces. Of course, having two extra pawns provides some comfort - for the moment, at least.
