 The Las Vegas International Chess Festival (June 5-9) kicks off with a
simultaneous exhibition by World Championship candidate Gata Kamsky on Thursday at 3 PM. Kamsky will also be playing in the main event, the National Open (June 6-8). The tournament schedule also includes the U.S. Game 10 Championship and the National Open Blitz Championship on Thursday June 5. The Susan Polgar World Open for Boys and Girls spans from June 6-8. Tournament co-organizer Alan Losoff emphasizes that for West Coast players, gas prices are down and it's not too late to join the party in Las Vegas!
