Kamsky Advances in World Cup Tiebreak

Reigning US Champion and former World Cup champion Gata Kamsky passed through the tiebreak at the World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia. GM Ray Robson and US Champion runner-up Yury Shulman were eliminated by Etienne Bacrot and Vladimir Potkin respectively.

Gata will face former FIDE World Champion Rustam Kasimdzhanov in round two. GM Alexander Ivanov will face Igor Lysyj, who defeated Mikhail Kobalia in the tiebreak.
