Steven Zierk takes gold at the World Youth Championship in Greece! In the final round, Zierk won while his Armenian rival Samvel Ter-Sahakyan  finally lost pace, allowing Zierk to pass him without the need to crunch tiebreaks. For this, Steven earns a Grandmaster norm and the IM title! Steven also posted a huge 9.5/11 score along with a 2700+ FIDE performance rating. Congratulations!

In the Under 10, Jeffrey Xiong tied for first in points (9/11) in the Under 10 and took silver on tiebreak, with Jason Cao of Canada taking home gold. Kayden Troff also nabbed a silver in the Under 12! Full story by Shaun Smith coming soon with photos and full reportage of the US delegation.
