US Chess School Call for Applicants

The 13th United States Chess School is holding their second summer training session in the Seattle, Washington area from the dates of August 10th-14th. This is a free intensive training program with GM Yasser Seirawan as the head instructor. The program will be located at the Chess4Life center.

We currently have 9 players who are slated to attend, and are looking for a 10th. Because we don't have email addresses of all the top players in the country, it's always helpful if we are contacted. Ideally we would like a player rated from 2100-2299 who is 16 years of age or under. If you fit within these guidelines and have attended a previous USCS session, but have not been contacted for this one, please let us know as well. If you or your child do not fit these specifications it still would be a good idea to send an email to [email protected] if you think you would be interested in future programs. Any initial contact made by a top rated player or parent of a player, will greatly help their chances of attending a future program.

We hold the program at different locations throughout the country and have had many notable GM's and top coaches as our instructors, such as GM Gregory Kaidanov, GM Yury Shulman, GM Alex Onischuk, GM Joel Benjamin and FM Aviv Friedman. Thanks to Dr. Jim Roberts for his generous support of the U.S. Chess School.
