Women’s World Chess Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk today joined "Champions for Peace", a club of top international athletes committed to serving peace in the world through sport. Read more details on Alexandra's chessblog.

Want to play or meet the peace-promoting chess champ herself? There is still space in Kosteniuk's May 7 simul in Atlanta in conjunction with the Burt Lerner National Elementary Championships (Atlanta, GA, May 7-9). The Kosteniuk simul begins at 9 AM EST on Friday, May 7th and the Entry Fee is $40. While in Atlanta, Kosteniuk will be giving a talk in conjunction with the FIDE Trainers Seminar for women.
