On April 15, 2011, the USCF Executive Board approved the following:

The 2010 US Woman’s Olympiad Team qualified for participation in the 2011 Woman’s World Team Championship by their performance at the 2010 Olympiad. However, current regulations are unclear regarding the status of the reigning US Champion.

In order to clarify this, the Board moves

The 2011 US Woman’s Champion will be a member of the 2011 US Team for the 2011 Woman’s World Team Championship. If the 2011 Champion was not a member of the 2010 Woman’s Olympiad Team, the alternate will be replaced. The alternate, or the next in line due to a player declining their invitation, is determined by the Olympiad selection criteria. The August 2011 USCF and FIDE rating lists will be used in this selection.

Passed 6-0 with Gary Walters absent and not voting.

The 2010 US Olympiad Team did not qualify for the 2011 World Team Championship via performance at the Olympiad. However, they were awarded a spot to represent the continental Americas. As such, USCF currently has no such rule governing this situation. In order to clarify, the Board moves

The 2011 US Team for representation in the 2011 World Team Championship will be selected by using the current Olympiad Invitational Regulations. The USCF ratings will be determined as the post- tournament rating from the 2011 US Championship. The FIDE rating will be determined from the May FIDE supplement. The 2011 US Champion will be invited to be a member of the team.

Passed 6-0 with Gary Walters absent and not voting.
