Aside from covering almost every criteria listed in the above citation, Franklin has also served as an outstanding Chess Journalist as evidenced by the multiple awards that his website has garnered from the Chess Journalists of America.  In addition he has been a member for many years of the U.S. Chess Federation (USCF) Correspondence Chess Committee.  Up to 2005 he was the webmaster and archivist for the APCT.  His invaluable counsel is an asset that the ICCF-US specifically and the ICCF community in general much appreciate.  We are all indeed fortunate to be the beneficiaries of Franklin’s expertise and largess.  We congratulate Franklin for this well-deserved honor.
