The Art of Attack Premieres at NYC Fringe Festival Print E-mail

The Art of Attack, a play about two estranged sons of a chess master, premieres at the New York Fringe Festival on August 18 and runs through the 27th. GM Lenderman will conduct a fundraiser simul for the play on August 22 at Washington Square Park.

While Hikaru Nakamura falters in Holland, Parker Zhao is blazing through this month's First Saturday tournament in Budapest. In Poland at the World Juniors and Girls, WIM Melekhina finished with 8.5/13 and IM Arnold with 7.5/13. Meanwhile, the North American Youth begins.

GM Hikaru Nakamura is turning up the heat in Amsterdam. After winning his first round against Ljubojevic, he saved a tough rook endgame vs. Van Wely and scored against Peter Heine Nielsen. Update: Nakamura lost in round four to Svidler-and faces Gelfand in round five.
