Jennie Finch and IM Dean Ippolito
(Flemington,NJ) October 13, 2010 -Softball legend Jennie Finch visited the new deanofchess location in Flemington last weekend. Finch admitted that she really never plays chess but was interested in having her first lesson from Ippolito. While Ippolito taught gave her a beginner’s guide, Finch gave him advice on how to handle the lime-light as Ippolito looks to become a World Record holder.

“It was such a thrill to be able to teach chess to the world’s most famous softball player,” Ippolito said. “And she gave me some great pointers as well.”

After the lesson was over, Finch made an appearance at the Dean of Chess’ newest chess super store located on Rt. 31 in Flemington.

“I had never seen anything like that,” Finch said. “The store was huge and there were chess boards everywhere, it was great to see all of the enthusiasm.”
