USCFlogoslide.jpgEffective January 1, 2013, FIDE is charging a one-time License Fee to all arbiters who direct FIDE rated events. Once paid, the director can continue to direct events. If not paid, a submitted event will not be rated by FIDE.

FIDE has mandated that the USCF send the list of Arbiters who will be licensed by Dec 5. If you direct FIDE Rated tournaments, please respond to this announcement by Dec 3.

If you think you may be affected, please email Jerry Nash [email protected] ASAP for detailed information and with any questions. Also download details on the license on the FIDE website.

Also, starting July 1st, all FIDE rated events must use FIDE rules. Please check the FIDE website for the rules or contact the USCF office and we will send you the rules that will go into effect on July 1st.

Find relevant information including a summary of USCF-Fide rule differences on the tournament director's information index page.
