At the Spring SPICE Invitational at Texas Tech, IM Robert Hess is tearing it up with 5/6. With four rounds to go, he needs just 1.5/4 for his second GM norm. Update: Hess defeats GM Gareev to clinch his second GM norm (9 rounds).
