After a round four upset over GM Alexander Shabalov, 14-year-old Daniel Naroditsky leads the North American Open in Las Vegas with 4/4. Tonight the schedules merge, with GM Dmitry Gurevich and IM Emory Tate joining the fray. GMs Yermolinsky and Akobian drew on board one in round four, and Naroditsky will be the sole 4-0 going into tonight's round.

Naroditsky prevailed in a complicated Najdorf when Shabalov executed the false skewer Ba5, which lost immediately to Qc5, threatening both Qf2 mate and Qg1+ Ke2 Qd1 mate.
