After round 1, Chouchanik Airapetian  is the top "key to success" in the fantasy competition; she is on the roster of 7 of the top ten teams.
It was a rather rough first day for most of the fantasy entrants with the three most popular choices: NM Sam Shankland, WFM Iryna Zenyuk, and GM Alex Shabalov all failing to score on the initial day.  Luckily for most involved this is much more than a one day tournament so plenty of time for the general populace to recover.  As always though, a few upstarts who tended to shun the most popular choices have emerged in the lead after Day 1 with two entrants managing a nice 5.5 / 7 score.  Here are the point standings after the first day:

Standings by Points:

5.5 Points: 1st - 2nd
5 Points:   3rd - 10th
4.5 Points: 11th - 25th
4 Points:   26th - 85th

3 Points:   202nd - 327th
2.5 Points: 328th - 449th
2 Points:   450th - 509th
1.5 Points: 510th - 524th
1 Point:    525th - 526th
