At the Biel International Chess Festival (July 23-August 2), Baltimore-based GM Alexander Onischuk was leading with 3/4 but faltered today against GM Magnus Carlsen. This grants the Norwegian teenager the sole lead. Even after this loss, Onischuk is tied for second place with Boris Avrukh. Click here to see his two wins, against Grischuk and Van Wely.
