The National Open began today in Las Vegas, Nevada with over a dozen Grandmasters playing the three-day Open section including Webster student GM Ray Robson, Texas Tech student GM Elshan Moradiabadi and last year's National Open champ GM Aleksander Lenderman. The first edition covers the G/10 Championship, in which GMs Wesley So and Varuzhan Akobian tied for first.
