Reigning US Chess Champion and World #9 ranked Nakamura earned two silver medals at the SportAccord World Mind Games in Beijing, China (December 12-19) in both rapid and blitz divisions. French GM Laurent Fressinet earned gold in the rapid on tiebreak, while Sergey Karjakin took gold in blitz for Russia. Check out two of Nakamura's rapid victories:

GM Gata Kamsky finished 7th in the rapid and 12th in the blitz while Four-time US Women's chess champion IM Anna Zatonskih finished in the middle of the pack in the blitz and in 12th in the rapid.
