The National Junior High [K-9] Championship (San Diego, CA - April 27-29) are currently underway. The tournament was featured on local Fox news, in which 9th grade NM Varun Krishnan faced the anchor in a quick chess game. Also see a photo gallery from the tournament in the Union Tribune.
