7ss, G/90, 14 sections
Play only in your grade or college section
December Rating Supplement will be used
˝ point bye available any round if requested in advance of round 1 (except round 7)
Team Score = total of top 3 (minimum 2) finishers from each school per grade
1st place individual and team will be National Champion for their grade

Schedule:
Opening Ceremony Fri. 12:30pm.
Rds: Fri. 1pm-6pm, Sat. 10am-2-6pm, Sun. 9am-1pm. Awards Ceremony Sun. 4:30 (K, 1) and 6pm
Special round times for K,1 sections: Fri,1:30-5:30, Sat 10:30-2:00-5:30, Sun 9:30-1:30

Registration information
USCF Membership is required and must be current. You may pay USCF membership with your entry.
Youth Membership: Age 19 and under, $25/year includes Chess Life (12 issues)
Scholastic Membership: Age 14 and under, $19/year, includes Chess Life (6 issues)

Advance entries must include player's name and all fees to be accepted. Roster changes are considered new entries and will be charged according to date received. List name, address, phone, section, grade, school (even if no team), coach's name, email, birth date, USCF ID number, USCF expiration (enclose USCF dues if necessary) and rating. Players must be eligible to play in accordance with USCF Scholastic Regulations

Special Lectures for Parents, Coaches and Players: provided by Jerry Nash, USCF Scholastic Director and Mike Nietman, Scholastic Council:
Friday, 9-10:30am - "My First Tournament! For Players, Coaches and Parents"
Friday, 11-12:30pm - "Understanding Ratings, Scorekeeping and Clocks"

FM Norris FIDE Master Alan Norris will be available in the Books and Equipment concession, Friday - Sunday from 10am and throughout each day, for free game analysis and advice. Alan is a former Scottish champion who has represented his country at the Chess Olympiad. He has also trained Madonna's husband, film producer Guy Ritchie. The bookstore is located in the Montery Room (not Coronado FG Room). FM Norris is also available to schools and teams who would like expert coaching during the weekend!
