Ursula Lowenbach Foster (1927-2004)Ursula Lowenbach Foster, a Jewish survivor of the Holocaust, died of cancer at her Modesto home. She was 77. Ursula was a member of the United States Chess Federation and was very active in over-the-board and correspondence chess for many years. A lengthy obituary appears on the Modesto Bee website...
