| The alternative was 15 ... Nd7 16 Nb3, but that seems a little passive because 16 ... Rc8 is met by 17 Nb5. 15 ... Nc6 would not be good due to 16 bxc5 bxc5 17 Nb3. So deFirmian just exchanges.
