| deFirmian generally uses historic "main lines" as White. 3 Nc3 is still the main line, even though many players dislike the Winawer with 3 ... Bb4. Ways to avoid this are the Tarrasch 3 Nd2, the Advance 3 e5, and the Exchange 3 exd5. (Have a question? Ask GM Rohde!
