In the Grand Prix, a central motif is the White queen's trip from d1 to e1
and then h4. Generally, White does not have the central influence to really
make the break e4-e5 stick. In contrast to lines where Black has played ...
e7-e6, here White does not have to worry about the central counter ... d5, so
this position moves at a slower pace than the ... e6 lines of the Grand Prix.
