A little thing to note is that Black cannot now play 43 ... gxf3?? 44 bxc7
Re8 45 b6 and White wins. But White did not have to trade c-pawns now, and the
question is whether he would get anywhere by later playing c5-c6 instead. Then
White could work with the idea Rd5-d7, and the knight could still come around
to c4 and possibly menace a sacrificial Nc4xb6 at the right moment. I would
conclude that White may as well have held off on the trade of the c-pawns just
yet.
