w42 Time to take stock. Black no longer had any compensation for his pawn, and
he spotted an interesting rook sacrifice, and would be happy with a draw from
this defensive sacrifice. Now after 42 ... Qxd4+ 43 Ke1 should win for White,
but another prosecution of the attack is 42 ... Qf3+. Then 43 Ke1 Qg3+ gives
possibilities for both 44 Ke2 and 44 Kd2. Also, even 43 Be2 is possible - 43
... Nc3+ 44 Kd2 or 44 Kc2. In short, the variations are mind-blowing, and
overall, Benjamin was probably well-justified in taking this risk.
