| A pawn sacrifice designed to shield the second c-pawn which will arrive on c3 from frontal assault on the c-file. After White accomplished this exercise, he will also be able to defend his lonely king on a1 along the second rank. However, the new pawn on c3 will require constant attention. (Have a question?
