The Road Not Taken*

caney-fork-trail-tennessee.jpgAfter Dr. Greg Chamitoff's 38.Kd2, the students from Stevenson Elementary School in Bellevue, Washington, have chosen three roads for Earthlings to consider: 38 ... a2, 38 ... d3, and 38 ... Kf7.

Will Earth rue the roads not taken?  Will Earth choose the road less traveled?  Should Black continue to bring the king into play, or press forward with one of the passed pawns?

Earthlings have until midnight ET on Saturday, November 7 (9 PM PT Saturday/6 AM CET Monday) to make up their minds and cast their votes.

You can use our game viewer (link at the right) to follow the game and analyze the position.  When you've made up your mind, VOTE!
