Mike Fleming - Irving, Texas Mike Fleming passed away on 8/19/06 at age 54. He was an active player in the Amarillo chess club (TX) from the mid '70s, and president in the mid '80s. He played in at least 43 club tournaments. His rating steadily improved to over 2000 before he moved to CA in '87. He wrote several Player Profiles for the club newsletter. He was the only participant to beat Sammy Reshevsky in the simul 4/14/86. His donation of 135+ books to the club in 2003 was greatly appreciated. He was much loved by everyone who knew hm.
