Josh Waitzkin, subject of the book and film Searching for Bobby Fischer, will be meeting players, coaches, and parents, and signing copies of his groundbreaking book The Art of Learning, now in paperback, all day May 10th, at the Elementary Nationals in Pittsburgh, PA (May 9-11). Josh has dominated two distinct fields of competition— one mental, one physical. Eight-time National Chess Champion, 13-time Tai Chi Chuan Push Hands National Champion, and Two-time Push Hands World Champion, Waitzkin has proven himself to be a true master of the learning process, performance state and the psychology of competition.

An invitation from Josh: I will be giving a weekend seminar on learning and performance at the Omega Institute, June 20-22. It will be the perfect venue for parents, coaches, and young players to dig deeper into what I have learned about cultivating young minds in a healthy and inspiring manner. I'd really love to have chess families participate, as this is where my journey began. Hope to see you there!
