The World Championship match in Chennai, India (November 9-28) began with three draws. The first two were short, but the round 3 battle was an intense struggle in which GM Magnus Carlsen had to fight for the half point. We also saw an unusual case of a "fianchettoed queen."

In round four, Carlsen played the Berlin and was the one pressing.

Other big news out of Chennai includes FIDE Presidential candidate Garry Kasparov's appearance.

Update: GM Rogers' CLO report after four rounds with analysis and more from Kasparov.
