Metropolitan Chess, Inc. is hosting multiple norm round robin tournaments from August 13th to August 18th of 2013. The tournaments are sponsored by California Market Center, Law Offices of Steinfl & Bruno, Chess.com, MonRoi, LawyerFy, and EventForte. All the events are being held in Suite C855 of the California Market Center on 110 East 9th Street, Los Angeles 90079. The tournaments are organized by Ankit Gupta, FA, IO. One RR tournament, a GM norm RR, is the 28th in its series. The Grandmasters include: GM Enrico Sevillano (USA), GM Melikset Khachiyan (USA), GM Elshan Moradiabadi (IRI). The norm contenders include: IM Zhanibek Amanov (KAZ), IM Andranik Matikozyan (ARM), IM Raja Panjwani (CAN), IM Darwin Yang (USA), IM Victor Shen (USA), FM Joel Banawa (USA), and FM Yian Liou (USA) Concurrently, another RR tournament, a IM norm RR, is being held. It is the 29th in its series. The International Masters include: IM Jack Peters (USA), IM Roman Yankovsky (RUS), and IM Larry Remlinger (USA). The top rated norm contender in this round robin is FM Arthur Shen (USA). A qualifier event, where top place will be seeded into a future IM norm RR, is also being held concurrently from August 16th to 18th.
