IM Greg Shahade, founder of the US Chess School is looking to fill 1-2 spots in the next edition, set for San Francisco from January 2-6. Previous US Chess School participants have included Samuel Sevian and Kayden Troff, who both took home gold medals in the recently concluded World Youth Championships in Slovenia.

The 20th session of the United States Chess School, generously funded by Dr. Jim Roberts, will run from Jan 2-6 in San Francisco, California at the Mechanics Institute. IM Greg Shahade will be the main lecturer and we expect to have quite a few special guest lecturers as well. The camp is open to the top players in the country and is free of charge, although the student is responsible for travel and lodging. This particular camp is aimed towards players in the 2100-2300 range, from the ages of 8-16. If you or your child is interested in attending, let me know, as we still have 1-2 spots open. Please email us at [email protected] as soon as possible to be considered for one of these last few spots. If you have written to me before or have attended a camp in the past, do not hesitate to write again.
