Anna Ushenina of Ukraine won her first Women's World Championship today over former champ GM Antoaneta Stefanova. The two had both advanced through a grueling 64-player knockout. The first two games of the four classical game final were drawn. Anna pulled ahead with a nice victory in round three, featuring the winning "creeping" queen move, Qa7.



Stefanova rebounded with a victory in round four, bringing the match to playoff:

In the rapid tiebreak, Ushenina defended the first game with Black and won with White to capture the Women's World Championship.
