Joseph H. Pasquale (1933-2012)

Joseph H. Pasquale, a former USCF member from Clinton, Massachusetts, died on September 7, 2012, after a long illness. He was 78.

Mr. Pasquale was born on October 10, 1933 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the war, he worked for 17 years at the former Van Brode Company in Clinton before being employed as a manager for both the Metropolitan Insurance Co. and Rotman's Furniture Co, both in Worcester, Mass. He later took a position at the South Lancaster (Mass.) Post Office, retiring from there in 1995.

Mr. Pasquale was an avid chess player and a former member of the Wachusett Chess Club in Fitchburg, Mass., where he played for several decades before retiring from USCF-rated play in 2000.
