Olympiad Round Six: USA Defeats Vietnam, Women Falter to Georgia

In round six of the 2010 Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, the US team defeated Vietnam 2.5-1.5. The squad was led by GM Hikaru Nakamura's victory on board one in a sharp line of the Queen's Indian Defense.

The women lost 1.5-2.5 to Georgia. Irina Krush and Tatev Abrahamyan faltered to strong White attacks while Anna Zatonskih scored a win and Sabina Foisor drew.
