The US Chess Championship pairings were drawn tonight at the Old Post Office Plaza. The red carpet ceremony featured a screening of the documentary based on the 2009 Championship, Changing of the Guard. Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis founder Rex Sinquefield and Mayor Slay were among the speakers, while Aloha Mischeaux sang the national anthem.
