Nakamura Draws in Corus "A", Robson Tearing up "C"
January 22, 2010
Today at the Corus super-tournament, US Champion Hikaru Nakamura drew with Vassily Ivanchuk. In a press conference after the game, Nakamura said, " “I missed 13.a5 in my preparation and then had a choice to take a draw by repetition, or play a worse position against Ivanchuk. I took the draw.”

Alexei Shirov was finally held to a draw, against Short. Kramnik moved up to joint second (along with Nakamura, Carlsen and Ivanchuk) with a win over GM Loek Van Wely. Peter Leko climbed back up to even with a win over Italian-American Fabiano Caruana while Cuban GM Lenier Dominguez defeated Sergey Tiviakov.

Meanwhile in the "C" section, GM Robson has 5.5/6! Today he won a nice attacking game of FM Bok.
