If you need inspiration for your new decade's resolutions, check out GM Gata Kamsky's blazing start to the '10s. Kamsky is currently tied for the lead in the 52nd Reggio Emilia tournament in Italy with 3.5/5, along with GM Zoltan Almasi of Hungary. In 2010, Kamsky is already on the right track to get back over 2700. (Gata peaked at 2727 in October 2008.)

In the tournament so far, Kamsky drew three games and won two against Georgian GM Baadur Jobova (2696) and Danielle Vocaturo (2500) of Italy. His game against Italian-American GM Fabiano Caruana was a draw.
