The SPICE CUP ended in a four-way tie for first between GMs Varuzhan Akobian, Alexander Onischuk, Leonid Kritz and Harikrishna Pentala, all of whom scored 5.5/9.

Onischuk and Pentala both had to win their final round games, against Stefannson and Kaidanov respectively, to earn their spots at the top of the crosstable.
