Steven Fredrickson (1950-2013)

Steven Fredrickson, 63, passed away on May 17, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nev., due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Steven was born in Jamestown N.Y., on March 24, 1950, the son of the late Kenneth Folke Fredrickson and Hedvig Magdalena "Madge" Fredrickson. Steven graduated from Anaheim High School in California. He worked 20 years as a Jamestown Police officer and retired as a lieutenant. He was also part of the Street Crimes Unit while on the force. Steven was also an excellent chess player and won the Jamestown City and Chautauqua County chess championships on several occasions. Steven will be missed by many due to his good moral character and sense of humor.

He was one of five siblings: Kenneth Fredrickson, Ralph Fredrickson, Janet Webster and the late Lorraine Waid. Steven also had two sons: Salem Fredrickson the late Cheyenne Fredrickson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St., Youngsville, PA 16371. Condolences to the family may be made atwww.nelsonfuneralhome.net.
