This week's U.S. Chess Scoop features games from the U.S. Open in Indiana (August 1-9) and the Denker Tournament of High School Champions, where Abby Marshall became the first woman ever to win the Denker.

Things became even less clear at the U.S. Open tonight, with a host of players tied for the lead with 6/7, including Alexandra Kosteniuk (who is taking byes in the last three rounds and will finish with 7/9), IM Michael Mulyar and frequent Chess Life and CLO contributor Jonathan Hilton who may not be blogging this time, but is making his voice heard anyway.
