After a string of four draws, Gata Kamsky took down his second win in the Sochi Grand Prix (July 31-August 15) against GM Mohamad Al Modiahki.  The American World Championship candidate now stands at plus one. Gata achieved a positional edge in the Rossolimo and patiently converted in an endgame.
