After a solid win in the Baku Grand Prix against Michael Adams , Gata Kamsky suffered a loss to Vugar Gashimov of Azerbaijan. Gashimov now replaces Gata to share the lead with Yue Wang and Alexander Grischuk. Our American World Championship candidate is still on plus one, and is now tied for fourth with Magnus Carlsen. Check out the official website for interviews, commentary and more photos.

Kamsky lost in a wild game in which he misjudged Gashimov's opportunity to sacrifice an exchange in response to Gata's 37...a3.
