Alexslide.jpgOn Thursday, April 24, Alex Lenderman won the first World Chess Live/United States Chess Federation Online Grand Prix. The young IM scored 7.5/8 in the 45-player blitz (3 minute+ 2 second increment) Swiss. Alex defeated GM Sergey Kudrin in round six of the prestigious blitz series premiere:

 If you are a USCF member, be sure to register for your free six month account with WCL and play in the Online Grand Prix Satellite event on May 1, Thursday. On the last Thursday of every month, Online Grand Prix finals will award 20 Grand Prix points (12 points for first, 8 for second.)
