The USCF's 2007 U.S. Junior Open Chess Championship drew 118 chess competitors. The six round event was held at the Sheraton Suites West Short Hotel in
This event was divided between four sections by age: Under 21, Under 16, Under 12 and Under 8.
Under 21: Brian Goldstein and Edward J. Lu, 4.5 each.
Under 16: Miguel Fonseca of
Under 12: Tied between Haoqing Wang and Jared Lassner, both of
Under 8: Miguel Angel Hernandez from
The Under 16 and Under 12 each had multiple teams competing. In the U16 the Boca Raton Chess Club team finished 1st. In the U12 the Boca Raton Chess Club team also finished in 1st.
